Overview: The project comprised the refurbishment and upgrade of the Southern Stand change room facilities at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, including the Home, Away, and Umpires’ change rooms. Works involved demolition of existing fixtures, fittings, and finishes, followed by construction of new partitions, ceilings, wall linings, and floor finishes to deliver modern, functional, and high-quality facilities.

New joinery, lockers, benches, and amenities were installed to meet operational requirements, with upgrades to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire services to ensure compliance and improved functionality. The design intent was to provide a professional standard environment that reflects the prestige of the MCG while delivering durability and ease of maintenance.

The project required close coordination with MCG operations, security, and event scheduling, with works carefully staged to minimise disruption. The outcome was fully refurbished change room facilities that enhance the player and umpire experience, align with compliance standards, and support the operational needs of the venue.
